起重機起升機構中多用長行程電磁鐵製動器或液壓電磁鐵製動器,在運行機構中多用短行程電磁鐵製動器或液壓推杆製動器。
這幾種製動器是靠主彈簧的作用力,通過製動臂使製動帶對稱地抱在製動輪上。製動帶與製動輪的接觸麵積不應小於製動帶麵積的75%。各種製動器上的尺寸是主彈簧在正常情況下能發出額定製動力矩的長度。製動器打開時,應使製動帶與製動輪之間保持0.6~1.0mm的間隙,並用螺旋杆調整兩邊間隙相等。為了適應製動帶在逐漸磨損過程中,仍然能保持其打開的間隙相等。

起升機構製動器應調整到能製動住額定起重量,空鉤時打開製動器(不通電,用撬杆或其它方法)能自動下滑為宜。太緊會使鋼絲繩受過大的衝擊負荷,加劇了橋架的震動。
運(yun)動(dong)機(ji)構(gou)製(zhi)動(dong)器(qi)製(zhi)動(dong)力(li)矩(ju)要(yao)調(tiao)整(zheng)得(de)合(he)適(shi)較(jiao)為(wei)困(kun)難(nan),特(te)別(bie)是(shi)短(duan)行(xing)程(cheng)電(dian)磁(ci)製(zhi)動(dong)器(qi)的(de)調(tiao)整(zheng),曾(zeng)有(you)人(ren)反(fan)映(ying)鬆(song)了(le)不(bu)行(xing),緊(jin)了(le)不(bu)行(xing),不(bu)鬆(song)不(bu)緊(jin)還(hai)不(bu)行(xing),不(bu)是(shi)製(zhi)動(dong)不(bu)住(zhu)就(jiu)是(shi)太(tai)緊(jin)。原(yuan)因(yin)是(shi)通(tong)用(yong)橋式起重機在(zai)工(gong)作(zuo)時(shi)所(suo)起(qi)重(zhong)物(wu)質(zhi)量(liang)不(bu)等(deng),運(yun)行(xing)路(lu)程(cheng)不(bu)一(yi)樣(yang),因(yin)而(er)運(yun)行(xing)速(su)度(du)也(ye)不(bu)一(yi)樣(yang),所(suo)以(yi)在(zai)一(yi)種(zhong)條(tiao)件(jian)下(xia)合(he)適(shi),而(er)在(zai)另(ling)一(yi)種(zhong)條(tiao)件(jian)下(xia)就(jiu)不(bu)合(he)適(shi)。這(zhe)就(jiu)要(yao)求(qiu)能(neng)根(gen)據(ju)不(bu)同(tong)條(tiao)件(jian)合(he)理(li)地(di)操(cao)縱(zong),如(ru)按(an)中(zhong)載(zai)中(zhong)速(su)調(tiao)好(hao)的(de)製(zhi)動(dong)器(qi),當(dang)調(tiao)運(yun)重(zhong)載(zai)長(chang)距(ju)離(li)運(yun)行(xing)時(shi),就(jiu)應(ying)提(ti)早(zao)製(zhi)動(dong),使(shi)其(qi)能(neng)有(you)一(yi)段(duan)較(jiao)長(chang)的(de)製(zhi)動(dong)路(lu)程(cheng),這(zhe)對(dui)有(you)經(jing)驗(yan)的(de)司(si)機(ji)來(lai)說(shuo)不(bu)是(shi)很(hen)難(nan)做(zuo)到(dao)。
